• What is the Trade-In Program? +

  At UScellular, you can trade in your old device and get up to $400 with the Trade-In Program. Visit a store and receive immediate value for your device where you can spend it on whatever you want, including using it toward a new phone, accessory, or to lower your bill. Plus, by participating, you'll be doing something good for the environment.
• How does the UScellular® Trade-In Program work? +

  Take your device to a UScellular store to receive immediate value for your device or visit our Trade-In-Program Website to trade in your device from the comfort of your home. We will provide you with a prepaid shipping kit that you can use to ship your device back to us at no charge. To ensure that you will receive full value for your device please clear any personal information and activation locks such as Find my iPhone. Package your device according to the shipping instructions that will be provided as part of your order confirmation.
• Who is eligible to participate in this program? +

  All current UScellular customers are eligible to participate in the trade-in program. Potential customers may receive a trade-in value for their device, but must become UScellular customers in order to participate.
• Does UScellular accept all devices from another carrier? +

  Yes, the Trade-In Program accepts devices from all major carriers.
• Are broken or cosmetically flawed devices accepted? +

  Yes. Broken or cosmetically flawed Smartphones may still have value and will be accepted regardless of their condition or function. Devices that do not have value may still be sustainably recycled. Please ask a UScellular associate more about our Recycling Program.
• How do I know how much my phone is worth? +

  Find out how much your used Smartphone is worth by visiting a participating UScellular store where you can receive immediate value for your device, or visit our Trade-In-Program Website. You can search for your device by name, model number, or manufacturer. Once you find your device, answer a couple of questions about its condition and get an instant quote that is good for 30 days. Hyla, a UScellular Trade-In Program partner, will verify the model, assess the condition of the device received and determine your trade-in value. In the unlikely event of a discrepancy, you will be notified via email of the updated Trade-In value that will be applied to your bill. Your device will not be eligible to be returned once it is submitted to the Trade-In Program.
• When can I expect to receive a bill credit for my trade-in? +

  If you are trading in your device in-store you can use the value instantly towards the purchase of another device or accessory. If trading in online, it will usually take 2-3 billing cycles for the Trade-In Value to appear as a bill credit once you mail your device.
• Do I need to send in the battery charger? +

  No, please send the device only without any additional accessories they may have originally been included with it.
• What if my device's value is appraised at $0? +

  Some device models do not have any trade-in value (most likely due to their relative age). UScellular will gladly recycle any devices with no value. Please ask a UScellular associate more about our Recycling Program.
• Can multiple devices be traded in during the same transaction? +

  Yes. Up to 5 devices may be processed during the same transaction.
• Is there anything I need to do to my device before mailing it in? +

  Please remove any screen or activation locks (example: Find My iPhone) and personal information on your device prior to mailing it in.
• Is there a deadline to mail in my device once the process has started? +

  Yes. The package must be postmarked within 30 days of the appraisal date to maintain the appraisal value quoted during the store transaction.
• Will I be able to get my device back if I change my mind? +

  No. Once you have surrendered your device to the Trade-In program it will not be returned for any reason. It is important that you transfer any personal data to a new device and delete it from the device you are trading in.
